Sandhill Cranes Gallery

The sandhill crane, standing four feet tall with a wing span of over six feet, is one of America's largest birds. Graceful fliers, they migrate at high altitude for thousands of miles. It is thrilling to hear their ancient call as they take flight by the hundreds and assume flight formations for the long haul.
