library card from Public Library even if they DO NOT live in Barrington. This
card gives you full access to all of the library's books, videos, audiobooks
(on CD, cassette, and downloadable),
DVDs, and Databases. This card can be obtained at the Public Library, or,
you can ask your school Librarian for a quick and easy form to fill out which
will then be passed on to us here at the Public Library. Your card will be
shipped to the school on the next Inter-library Loan delivery to your school.
Inter-Library Loans can be done right from your home or school computer! Simply
access our online card catalog at: http://65.175.139.4/athcgi/athweb.pl
search for the items you need, and hit the patron request button at the bottom
of the screen. Please make sure you put "Deliver to BES" or "Deliver
to BMS" in the messages line so we know where to deliver the items needed.
You can now get materials for classroom use, your own reading, or items to
share with your colleagues without ever leaving your school!
PLEASE NOTE: YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR RETURNING ITEMS TO THE
ILL BOX AT YOUR SCHOOL ON TIME AND IN GOOD CONDITION. ANY LOST ITEM FEES OR
OVERDUE FEES WILL BE ASSESSED TO YOUR CARD.
Please help us to serve your students better by using the fax sheet above when you have upcoming projects. It will allow us to prepare for your students questions and searches, purchase new materials if necessary, and it gives us time to get back to you with a list of materials we own that may be helpful to you and your students. Remember: We can only pull books in your subject area, prepare displays, and help your students well if we have some lead time. We REALLY APPRECIATE those teachers who take the time to let us know what is happening in our community classrooms!
