---People are not the only ones who hunt stripers---
Here on the East Coast Of North America Bluefin Tuna
are known to travel across the Atlantic Ocean
from the mediterranean sea seasonly to feed on Bluefish and Stripers.
Sometimes the Bluefins are spoted moving through
the Cape Cod Canal in late Augast or early September.
A few guys surfcasting over the years have been spooled
by large fish not even realizing they were most likely
hooked to a bluefin tuna.
The old adage said if your going to a gun fight
dont bring a knife,

The maximum length ever reported is 180 inches total length
and the maximum weight reported is 1,506 lbs..
Bluefin commonly attain a size of 78 inches .
The International Game Fish Association (IGFA) all-tackle record is 1496 lb..
