Molly Stark

Elizabeth "Molly" Stark was born in Haverhill, New Hampshire on February 16, 1737. She was the daughter of the first postmaster of New Hampshire. She married Gen. John Stark on August 20, 1758, they had eleven children.

Molly can best be remembered for the support she gave to her husband and his army. She was both doctor and nurse to her husband's troops during the smallpox epidemic; her house was made into a hospital.

Molly Stark died in 1814 of typhus at the age of 78.
